Hospets is a unique organization, founded in 2011. We are an all volunteer, non profit, focusing on the bond, health and emotional well-being of both senior citizens and their pets. Often a pet is the only regular form of companionship a senior may have. Hospets strives to provide assistance to help keep the senior citizens and the pets happy, healthy and together as long as possible.

We are located in Marysville, Ohio, serving people 60 years of age or older.  Our focus area is Union County, Ohio.  We will provide assistance in surrounding areas as space and resources allow.

Home Away From Home

Having a pet greatly improves the physical and emotional well-being of senior citizens yet many senior citizens are on fixed incomes and may need to be hospitalized from time to time. The question arises many times: where do the pets go if there is no family nearby to help?

Due to the great need for temporary respite care, we have built and opened our own Respite Center.  This allows elderly dog owners to have their own medical needs cared for without the added worry of losing a pet.

Due to overwhelming need, we will be expanding in the spring of 2018

If something happens to you, does someone know you have pets in the home needing care?  Do they know where to access veterinary records, emergency contacts, and what care is needed for your pets?
